Texas Woman’s University (TWU) is seeking a visionary to lead its highly ranked School of Physical Therapy. The School has DPT cohorts on each of TWU's 3 campuses (Denton, Dallas, and Houston). In addition, the School offers a Ph.D. in physical therapy and participates in neurologic and women's health physical therapy residency programs. The School received a 10- year CAPTE re-accreditation in 2022. It boasts a high faculty retention rate whose faculty have productive scholarly agendas and who enjoy a healthy work-life balance. This 12-month position will be housed in the Denton area with expectations of travel to all campuses. The Dallas and Houston campuses are located in the heart of some of the nation’s largest medical centers.
The School of Physical Therapy’s vision is to advance the health and well-being of our diverse communities through excellence and innovation in education, research, practice and service. The Director is responsible for the overall planning, management, and delivery of quality physical therapy education programs that meet the needs of the public and that are in compliance with accreditation standards. The Director assures that the School attracts and retains highly qualified faculty members and demonstrates fiscal responsibility. The Director assesses the effectiveness of all aspects of the School of Physical Therapy and promotes plans that assure the long-term viability of the School.

Specific responsibilities include:
Provide leadership for all three campuses for the School Guides development and implementation of long- and short-term School goals, including potential program/School growth Formulates and allocates the School budget in an equitable manner Facilitates interprofessional education across the College, University, and community Promotes inter-campus communications Assures that accreditation requirements are achieved Approves new faculty and staff appointments; mentors faculty and staff Finds or creates core faculty development opportunities Contributes to the School through teaching, research and service activities
Guides Associate Directors at each campus to: Create campus-specific goals Assign faculty workload/administrative tasks according to university policy Supervise professional and administrative staff Promotes the School to external communities Seeks external funds for program development Contributes to the planning of and provides resources for marketing of School programs Communicates with School alumnae
